Joining the Commercial Plant Production team at Shelmerdine means that you’re an important part of making thousands of people happy with beautiful flowers in the spring!
This is a seasonal, full-time position, with the possibility of returning for the next season.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Planting plugs and cuttings of annuals and perennials
- Maintaining plants by following a watering schedule, and cutting back overgrown plants
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to maintain a fast pace that is required in the commercial greenhouses
- Excellent eye/hand coordination
- Attention to detail and ability to work quickly
- Must be able to work in greenhouse conditions with varying temperatures and high humidity
- Be able to lift heavier items in a repetitive nature
- Ability to stay on your feet for long periods of time
- Knowledge of plants is an asset, but not required
