Depending on the variety, these trees can yield up to 4-10lbs of fruit per tree, which means plenty for sharing (or not 😉) once the tree has matured!

Say hello to a whirlwind of a plant: the Hurricane Bird's Nest Fern! This air purifying beauty is one of our favourite ferns for kitchens and bathrooms, with the spiraling growth habit + glossy green leaves creating a vibrant display.

As a fern, there are a few key care tips that will help your plant thrive:

🌿 A humid environment is a must! Without enough humidity, the foliage will become dry and crispy.
🌿 The Hurricane Birds Nest is a shade seeker and will do best in medium, indirect light. Keep it away from bright sunlight.
🌿 Water from the edges and not in the centre of the spiral. This is like the eye of the storm, and can wreak havoc and cause root rot if it gets too wet.

Want to learn more? Our most recent blog delves deeper into the care needs of a Hurricane Birds Nest Fern, with troubleshooting + helpful tips! 😄

Hate mosquitoes? Bats are about to become your new best friends! 🦇Read on to see how it all works:

 • Bats will eat up to 1200 insect per hour, especially mosquitos! How awesome is that?
• Bugs want nothing to do with bats. At all. Once insects start hearing bats flying around, they'll leave the area as soon as they can!
• Bats help to pollinate plants at nighttime by spreading pollen as they fly from plant to plant eating up bugs.
• Since bats are nocturnal, we will rarely see or hear them. You won’t notice the bats, but you will notice the bugs disappearing!

Ready to ditch harsh insect control chemicals and add a Bat House to your yard? Visit us in the garden store! We'd love to answer any questions you have + help you get your natural insect control journey started. 😄
