Palm, Parlour (Neantha Bella)
An excellent palm for indoor use, the Neantha Bella Palm is easy to care for. They are, however, susceptible to spider mites so check often for signs of them on the underside of leaves. Mist the plant and keep it in a humid place to avoid this.
Light
Neantha Bella Palms prefer filtered light. If there is enough light to cast a shadow the palm should do well there.
Water
Water thoroughly, then allow the top 1″ of the soil to dry before watering again for larger palms. For smaller specimens, allow the top of the soil to dry to the touch before watering again. Water all around the plant to avoid creating dry spots in the soil, which may lead to frond loss. Do not allow to stand with water in the saucer.
Fertilizer
For optimum plant health, fertilize with an all-purpose houseplant food April through October, following label directions. For all other months, fertilize half as often.
